Cockatoos vs. Cockatiel

Cockatoos are gentle, are very social and affectionate. Cockatoos are especially social and will show their affection by snuggling up to your chest and resting their head on your shoulder, Cockatoos and Cockatiels might be the smartest animal of them all. Cockatoos become one-person birds. quickly becomes closely bonded to one person in the home.

 

Cockatoos have positive and high energy.  Cockatoos and Cockatiels can pick up some words and phrases. Cockatoos are different not only because of their crest, and have unique crest feathers that are moveable. You and your Cockatoos and Cockatiel can have lots of fun interacting with each other; they like to be touched but will also just hang out with you happily.

 

Cockatoos have been great house pets and have been called by some as the friendliest and most loving of all the Cockatoo species, and they cry similar human tears. Cockatoos and Cockatiels recognize human faces and voices. They love listening to radio and television. Their ability to imitate sounds is truly remarkable. Cockatoos and Cockatiels mimic the sounds of other animals, including people. 

 

Cockatoos and Cockatiels understand abstract concepts like space and time. Gentle courtship behavior that can easily be seen as love.

 

Cockatiels are the highest-maintenance bird and like to be petted and held. The Cockatiel's lifespan in captivity is generally given as 10 to 15 years, and are both cuddly and bold. Cockatoos and Cockatiels can also be curious and, at times, feisty. With a Cockatoo and Cockatiel in the house, you are likely to hear a repertoire of chirps and whistles.
